There seem to be an upcoming trend around my group of friends about BonitoChico. Those of my friends who visit blogshops would tell me to visit BonitoChico.  I was thinking to myself what is the craze about it. Therefore, to solve the mystery I decided to visit it for myself…..

Are you into Korean fashion? Perhaps you have been watching the latest korean drama, Boys over flowers. Perhaps you have been caught by the Korean craze falls into the category of wanting to learn Korean language, shopping for korean stuff such as apparrels, accessories, bags.

I have recently came across a blogshop which aspires to specialise in Korean Fashion…

Will it stay as no deal?

After having reviewed 5 blogshops who falls between the category of nice deal to best deal, today i am going to review about a blogshop that is no deal to me.

The reason of sharing this with you is to allow YOU my loyal readers to know that there isn’t all blogshops that are nice, good or best. In reality there are some who really need lots of improvement. As much as i share with you why it is no deal to me, i do not want this review to be boycotting them but rather presenting the true fact about how i feel and some area of improvement which will allow this blogshop to move from my no deal rating to nice deal. 

 

I present to you Taunting Tulips. 

 

 

Design Template

At the first sight of Taunting Tulips , i wondered if they are in the midst of revamping their site. As i continued scrolling down the page, this was what i saw (please view picture below with the arrow pointing to what i am talking about)

Yes. Did you see the date? Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. The date that is showing is Jan, 1st, 2020. If you thought that you saw it wrongly, you are not alone. I thought my eyes were playing tricks when i first saw that. As i continued scrolling down the page, i saw something similar to that again.

For your info, this invalidity of dates happened a few other times too.

I’m not sure what was the rationale of putting the date this way but i concluded that it was probably done in that way because that the owner of the blogshop wanted to put these post at the top of the page. However, that certainly didnt give me a good impression of the blogshop.

Next there were no navigation tab , so what you see is what you get.  I have no idea who owns this blogshop or who their target audience  are or what they are selling.

 

Focus and content of the blogshop

With no focus given by them since there is no description, I had to make a guess from what i have seen and explored. They are selling apparrels and from the models it probably target those from age 15 – 25years. On a good side of this blogshop, the collection of apparrels under the pre-christmas sale + flea preview is not bad looking (but you will only get to see these pictures if you are not confused with the design template due to the invalidity of the dates, and you have continued to surf around to explore. Otherwise you might not even see these).

Are they selling blouse, short, hmm.. maybe all. You will get the answers of these question if only you continued to click on the collection to find out. Some of the pictures quality is not very good too.

Ok i must admit at this point in time I am really irritated with the design template. In reality, sometimes a design template really matter alot. If your design template is confusing and the posts is not clear in date, it causes doubt to whether the blogshop is reliable. It will not even do the blogshop justification if a potential customer come to the blogshop and closes the browser within 5sec . There goes your customer isnt it?

 

Best Deal? 

Their price range is between SGD$20-$30 and it is affordable to me. But it is no deal for the moment. I am one of those potential customer who nearly close the blogshop browser in 5sec. But due to wanting to share Taunting Tulips with YOU, i viewed it again. To tell you the truth, i only got to see the pre-christmas collection after my 4th visit. Therefore, for now i would rather spend my time surfing on other blogshops, but i may go back to this blog again to see any changes are made.

 

Customer Service

I did not enquire about anything because it is no deal for me. However, there was an option for feedback. I have just sent them a brief summary of how i feel. Let’s wait and see if i get any response.

 

How to move up my best deal rating?

Out of the few ideas i have to move up my best deal rating, i will only share 2 ideas at the moment.

1) To prevent  potential customer from  leaving Taunting Tulips within 5sec is to improve on the design template. They could add navigation tab and also correct on the invalidity of the date.

2) Tell us more about who them are, what they are selling etc.

Explanation of Best deal ratings

Here  is a guide for YOU to know how best deal rating is derived . Best deals are determined by:

1. Whether the blogshop is a must visit
2. Their design template  (but this does not play the major part)
3. Whether pricing of product is good, would i consider spending money on it
4. Does the price of the product fits the quality of it 
5. Customer service (if i have purchase anything)

 

Here are the explanations of  best deal rating.

 Best deal

• The blogshop is a REALLY MUST visit.  
• Design template is at least acceptable.
• The price is superb to me. It is worth spending the money.
• For the price of their product, the quality is extremely good.
• The customer service is efficient at least a very good ( Since it is the best deal, i would have at least tried to enquire about the product and may have purchased something from the blogshop to review about their customer service. If their customer service is bad, i will not rate them as the best deal.)

 

Good deal

• The blogshop is a MUST visit.  
• Design template is at least acceptable.
• The price is not bad to me. I can consider spending the money.
• For the price of their product, the quality is good.
• The customer service is rather efficient and at least a good (Since it is a good deal, i may have at least tried to enquire about the product but may or may not have purchased something from the blogshop.)

 

Nice deal

• The blogshop is a CAN visit.  
• Design template is at least acceptable.
• Some of their prices are affordable to me. I might spend the money.
• For the price of their product, the quality is acceptable.
• Not sure about customer service

 

No deal

• Visit the blogshop only if you have no other better blogshops to visit.  
• Design template is not good. Lots of improvement is needed.
• Prices may/ may not be affordable to me. However it would be unlikely that i buy anything from them as i might not consider spending the money with them.
• For the price of their product, the quality may/not be acceptable.
• Not sure about customer service

Discount Crocs

 Are you a fan of Crocs? Because i have came across a blogshop that has Discount Crocs. 

I must admit that i have used to dislike crocs alot. Firstly, it is very expensive. Secondly, i doubt if it is really that comfortable. Thirdly, there’s different function for certain designs of crocs, and i wonder how true it is. Fourthly, some of their designs are not nice looking or pleasing to my eyes at all. However, I changed my mind one day after seeing santa cruz and i decided that i will give crocs a try if only i can find a blogshop which sells Discount Crocs.

To my excitement, i really found one!! I present to you We love sprees. 

But before you go straight into your buying spree of crocs, do note that these crocs that they are selling are those that are sold in shops such as Factory Outlet store (meaning that the items may have slight defect such as number size printed wrongly.)

 

Design Template

We love sprees’s design template has some area of improvement needed. There is no navigation tab about them at all. To make the matter worst, when they have no links for visitors to view, they did not remove it at all , leaving the word  “Link here” (view picture to see what i am talking about).

 

Aside from the navigation tab, there isn’t any description who they are to. When i first visited their blogshop, they had only just started out. It left me with uncertainties whether i should trust them and purchase anything from them.

 

 

Focus and content of the blogshop

Being critical about this blogshop, if they are called We love sprees, isnt it suppose to encompass other stuff beside crocs? Yet, i guess i should not fault them for now as they have only just started this blogshop in June. Therefore, not much content at the moment but just 3 sprees for crocs. They have also improved the way they handled order. At spree #1, it was just normal ordering format. At spree #3, excel sheet order format was used.

 

Back to crocs. Yes! They have Discount Crocs. They organise  pre-order spree for crocs, but do note that their collection of crocs designs are not complete and not all sizes are available. Some collection of crocs range for kids, female and male are available. Aside from these limitation, here’s the wonderful deal. It is selling at a very cheap price, literally discount Crocs. Santa Cruz Women is selling at SGD$27, compared to the ones sold at the Crocs Shop is about SGD$80.

Customer Service

At my first order (during their spree #1) I ordered 2 pairs of crocs for myself, 3 pairs for my family, 6 pairs for colleagues. You must be thinking i must be crazy to order a total of 11 pairs, especially when i didn’t know them or whether their crocs are authentic to begin with. But well, the motivation for me to do that was that at least i could do a meet up (which means that i can see who is this person selling the crocs), and also since it is so cheap, what is the worst that it can get? If it is really bad, at least i have learnt never to trust this blogshop again. I can still wear the items i bought and take it as a pair of shoe that i have bought from a market (meaning not branded).

 

Her reply was fast and in fact, i have made some changes to my order along the way. I did not order all 11 pairs at one go as i was consolidating orders and she accomodated to my constant addition and changes.  As the crocs are pre-order, there was a period of about 3 weeks of waiting. She sends email to update about the status of the crocs. Upon arrival of the crocs, during the meet up (it was suppose to be at a venue that was convenient for her) but met me at train station near my place. After all the orders are received, she assured me that if there were anything wrong i could contact her again. We love sprees also did an additional favour for me. My dad wanted to purchase a pair of Beach Men but i did not order it initially because we mistook that there wasn’t the size he wore. I asked We love sprees if she had the Beach Men in stock so that i didnt have to wait till the next pre-order. She informed me about the availability and to add to her good customer service, she arranged another meet up even though it was supposed to be mailed (the initial rule was to have a minimum no. of pairs ordered before a meet up is possible). Well done We love sprees!

 

 

Best deal?

YES , this a the best deal for crocs. If you are looking for authentic crocs, and you do not mind the slight defects, go for it! We love sprees had only been selling crocs at the moment. I’m not sure about their future plans. I do hope they do organise other sprees since they are called “We love sprees”.  

 

Crocs Review

On a side note, as i ordered from We love sprees during spree #1, i  have not purchased Santa Cruz at all, since it was not available then. I got myself a black Alice Women and a White Prima Women. Initially, i these shoes caused some blister, hoever it got more comfortable as you wear it more often.

So meanwhile till i purchase my “dream Santa Cruz” ( i am trying to save money at the moment since i have already purchased 2 pairs of crocs) , i will end my review here. I hope they will also have improved on their design template, include more collections of crocs then.

Ideas for 21st birthday present female- Part 1

Are you looking for a gift for a 21^st birthday girl? Maybe it is time to do away with those conventional present such as photo album, vouchers or maybe a pendant that resembles a key shape (many in Singapore believe that 21^st birthday is a year whereby it is the key to freedom, therefore traditionally, people buy key shape pendant as a birthday present). Let’s do away with that and you can try buying apparels instead. Since fashion trends and apparels is important to a female.

 

Design Template

Citrus Alley - Custom Header

Citrus Alley has a good design template. It has attractive pictures, good colour combinations, easy to navigate around and it is pleasing to my eyes. The custom header changes with the different navigation tab (which means you get to see a different apparel each time you click the different navigation tab). Navigation tabs were clear and they even had a shopping cart available. It helps ease the hassle of calculation because all you need to do is to click “Add to cart”, choose the quantity and there you go. On the right column of the page you can see the item that you have chosen and the cost of it. Great! You no longer have to have a calculator beside you and a pen to remember the item you have chosen. What could have been improved was to allow removal of an item from the shopping cart before checking out because that there were no way I could remove an item from my cart unless I proceed to the check out corner.

There was clear description on what they aim to do. Catchy sub-headers were used so that you want to read on more. From their description, their collection mainly comprises of girly blouses, vintage pieces, contemporary apparels, simple, sweet and chic dresses, one-of-a-kind pieces, accessories, and bags. They claim that there is a style to suit everybody too. They have met most of their description except I have yet to see much item that is suitable for my style and for my work. But other then that, their collection is suitable for a 21^st birthday present because the designs were fashionable and images were taken well.

 On another note, I was disappointed because I had wanted to find a particular blouse that the model was wearing on one of their custom header but I could not find it anywhere in their collection. I noticed that there were few others that were not available too. It would have made the blogshop better if what was shown on the custom header is included in their collection too.  

 

Best deal?

If time and convenience is a factor for you, Citrus Alley may be your potential best deal. As I have not bought any item from them at the moment, it is for me just a nice deal and I can’t comment on their service or quality of the items. It is a blogshop pretty to browse for fashion trend/ideas, somewhere to perk my day because the models have great smile and poise that makes me feel very comfortable and convinced that they are very comfortable in the item that they are modeling for.

I have came across a blogshop that provides some information on body shape fashion tips. Le Chic Boutique is a blogshop and in addition with their products, they provide a tiny column on Fashion and Beauty tips. Amongst their product collections, they also share a little on whether a particular design collection suits your body shape.

The design template of Le Chic Boutique is plain but their blogshop custom header stood out amongst it.

I must admit that even though the navigation tabs were there, it was not easy to navigate myself around the page. There were no “About Me” and therefore I have no idea who are the people in-charge of this blogshop are and what exactly are their speciality. The navigation tab for the “Chic Tips” (From the subcategory, It is to provide some tips on buying clothes online, etc) does not seem to function. Just before I wanted to exit the page, their latest collection caught my eye.

 

Focus and content of the blogshop

I decided to stay on to explore the blogshop since I mention that their latest collection caught my eye. It was because they included a description which provided me details about whether a particular design would suit me. This description was something I have never seen before in any blogshop. What I have shared in “Body Shape Fashion Tips: Suddenly slim” was part of their description. That grew my interest to stay on to browse the other collections in the blogshop. I’m glad I did, because I found a floral pattern top (#25c) which I may consider purchasing it.

After browsing Le Chic Boutique, I feel that it would be very helpful if an “About Me” was created. This will allow one to know what their focus were. For now, my guess is Le Chic Boutique is selling female apparels but I am not sure what kind. To make my browsing experience more fruitful, navigation tabs should be functioning. They have also included a “beauty and fashion tips” at the right column of the page which changes tip after 30mins i think, it would be useful if this was included together at “Chic Tips” at a glance for viewing convenience.

 

Customer Service

Efficient in answering queries. As I had totally no idea how to go about ordering or whether the top I was interested in was available, I sent an email directly to them. They replied my email in less then 1 hour and adviced on my queries. Well done for that! My order is an pre order item, so I have some time to think about whether I would like to purchase it. I will share with you more if I do purchase and received my floral pattern top.

 

Best Deal?

Price range from SGD$19-$40. Their designs are relatively nice. This blogshop seems to be rather new as they have only 9 collections at the moment. Therefore, till I figure out exactly what they are focusing, and their other upcoming collections, this will stay as good deal for now.

Design Template

The first impression of the design is simple and not impressive. Some of the pictures of her blogshop did not load too. however, what stopped me from not exiting the page was that some of the designs of her products were pretty.

 

Focus and content of the blogshop

The main bulk of the blogshop focuses on accessories such as necklace, bracelets, earring. However, in her “about me” she had indicated that there were yummylicious bake treats and to my disppointment i couldn’t find it anywhere. I have added myself into her mailing list and realised that these bake treats are usually for festive season.

Aside from the yummylicious bake treat disappointment, what i liked was particularly the way she names her products, which included clear description of what materials are used to make it. Most of the products under ”items sold” are catchy and i especially like “butterfly lovers”. I find it very unique and special.  Some of her designs are indeed suitable for the special someone as a Valentine gift.

Customer service

Her replies for my request was efficient. There was once that i had to make a last minute gift purchase for a girlfriend. I had also wanted to collect the necklace the following day. Treats and Favours not only acceded to my request, she had even made a personal trip down to somewhere near my office as it was on the way. Here’s what i ordered (Serenade)

Best deal?

Overall, this is a very brief review about Treats and Favours, more will be done in future if i have more insights. Meanwhile, i find that this blogshop a good deal. Can give it a try. price range about SGD$10 – SGD$30.  Her customer service and her knowledge of her products such as how to take care of accessories is an added bonus. With the very efficient and good service, therefore last minute Valentine gift is possible. However, do not abuse it and only purchase your gift for your special someone last minute.
